Understanding The Power Of Photography As Art

Understanding The Power Of Photography As Art

In an ugly world, most of us can do no more than counter the darkness with a little bit of light. If you’re reading this, chances are you are a photographer, visual artist or in some other way involved in artistic pursuits. That’s good. That’s very good.

When you share that art, you put something beautiful back into the world. I personally believe this will make YOU feel better as it will make those who see it also feel better.

Art can be more powerful than words. It can change how people look at the world. And you never know what impact your art will have.

So here’s the most important advice I can give. Make (AND SHARE) art every single day. Make it your priority. Make it your number one job. Create art – each day – seven days a week. And share it SOMEHOW, somewhere.

Consistency is important for emerging artists. It demonstrates your commitment to potential patrons. It builds “tiny habits” that can change the course of your life and the lives around you.

Creating art every day fills your mind with something beautiful and makes it harder for the ugly stuff to creep in.

So remember – when they hate – we create!

I’m rooting for you.
