Auto masking can now detect 20 different types of subjects.
Topaz Labs has released an update to Sharpen AI. This major update includes a new auto-detect masking tool to generate base masks. It can detect 20 different types of subjects, including people, cars, planes, and various animals. This feature can be accessed by clicking the “Masking” brush button to the right in the file list and then “Find Objects” in the left corner.
Sharpen AI has also added an “auto-detect mode” capability which will allow Sharpen AI to select the best processing mode for your image (from the Focus, Stabilize, and Sharpen modes). Each of those three modes tackles image blur at its root cause, but now users can let Sharpen AI choose for them. This update will allow users to take full advantage of Sharpen AI’s technology by requiring less user input to generate great results.
One of the things I like about Topaz Labs products is that they are frequently updated and those updates are frequently free. Such is the case here. If you already own a copy of Sharpen AI, you can download the update free of charge.

Currently using an Olympus E-M10 (1st version) and E-M5ii. E-M10 I use with the olympus 25mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8 and 60mm macro. Wanting something in the 100mm range so last summer purchased a Nikon 100mm f2.8 E Series lens (from the early 1980’s).
Aware it was a consumer grade lens for its day and wasn’t expecting the quality of the native olympus lens I have listed. But still, isn’t to bad. Just looking at some images I had taken a month ago and started thinking, wonder if Topaz AI sharpen (I do not have the product) could show it’s worth for images taken with an adapted lens. Have any thoughts on Topaz sharpen for adapted lens on the m43 system?

I think you are asking me if Topaz works on images made with lens adapted to M43 and the answer is, it works on any image from any camera or lens. You should give it a try. They have a 30 day free trial. Good luck.
