Great photographers show – they don’t tell. The more I hear a photographer explain why or what their image is about, the less likely I am to think it’s compelling.
The date is 2040, just 20 years from now. I am long gone, but many in my audience are still actively pursuing their careers in photography or other visual media.
Most are struggling to keep afloat. Many have left the profession. Economies of scale along with rampant dis-intermediation have eliminated most jobs in the visual creative field.
I am a lucky guy in that as an Olympus Visionary, I get to associate with some of the best photographers in the world. One of those is Pulitzer Prize winner, Jay Dickman (https://www.jaydickman.net)
